We are motivated, compassionate, and committed to clients and our team.Position Overview:The Associate Attorney is responsible for providing excellent criminal defense work for clients and representing the firm’s values—honesty, commitment, and creativity. Conduct legal research to craft compelling arguments in criminal defense casesNegotiate with prosecutors and other opposing parties to obtain the best outcomes for clientsWork collaboratively with the firm’s attorneys, legal assistants, client intake, and billingDraft motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence with precision and clarityMaintain strong client relationships by keeping clients informed and explaining complex legal concepts in understandable terms and demonstrating empathy for their situationCommunicate effectively and professionally with opposing counsel, judges, and court officialsKeep the client file updated on case status, deadlines, and developments via in an accurate, reliable, and traceable manner in our case management system ClioManage multiple criminal cases simultaneously, independently handling smaller matters and serving as second chair on larger casesRepresent clients in court hearings, motions, plea negotiations, and trialsAttend CLEs and engage in networking opportunities to continue developing as a lawyer and professional. Obtain relevant professional certifications, including SFST training and certificationQualifications
