This position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic legal team, providing specialized services in the field of Workers' Compensation law. The Associate Attorney will work closely with senior legal professionals and support staff to handle a docket of cases, manage legal proceedings, and provide leadership within the legal team.Duties:Handle and manage Workers' Compensation cases through all phases of litigationConduct depositions and legal researchNegotiate settlements to effectively resolve mattersProvide direction and supervision to paralegals and other support staffLead by example, fostering a positive and professional work environmentRequirements:Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Workers' Compensation lawProficiency in handling depositions, including those involving medical professionals (preferred)Strong knowledge of California Workers' Compensation legal proceduresActive membership in good standing with the California State BarEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Admission to the California State BarSkills:Strong written and verbal communication abilitiesHigh level of organizational skills and meticulous attention to detailAbility to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environmentEffective leadership and team collaboration skillsJob Location:Flexible time off, including paid parental leave and unlimited PTOPaid holidays
