JOB SUMMARY:Provides the Audio Department with expert knowledge in live sound operation, simple to medium complexity system design, installation, and system control. Collaborates with other departments and partners, with the conceptualizing/utilization of live audio systems for a project, event, or entertainment offering. Represents Entertainment Division to internal and external partners including but not limited to Senior Executive Leadership (up to UPR CEO), Events Sales, and national headline acts.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the appropriate installation, strike, storage, and maintenance of audio equipment within the assigned venue, project, and/or event in accordance with all applicable safety standards. Accountable for the design of simple to medium-complexity audio systems based on provided scope.
Functions as operator of digital audio console and equipment for a live show or event from either a Front-of-House or monitor position that may include a live band or performance with wireless microphones and in-ear monitors. Ensures safe audio levels are maintained.
Maintains and organizes material acquisition and installation. Communicates with team regarding maintenance, troubleshooting, and show status to achieve superior show quality.
Maintains inventory of tools, equipment, material, and other UO property, ensuring proper care, maintenance, and storage is upheld. Partners with Tech Maintenance to troubleshoot issues and escalate to Audio Management as needed. Ensures all daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks are completed.
Ensures proper completion of all technical documentation, to include line drawings, as-built drawings, checklists, SOPs, and other such documentation.
Stays up to date on technology trends to advance production capabilities.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:Technical school, Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience within the assigned technical discipline.
Expertise of large format digital consoles, Audio over IP (AoIP) protocols, RF coordination, concert PA installation, SMAART software, acoustic modeling software, and computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
Minimum 7 years of experience within the assigned technical discipline.
Prior experience within the professional theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
