DVLPR
is seeking, for immediate hire, a motivated New York-based architect with experience in both ground-up and brownstone residential construction. The ideal candidate should also be interested in innovative and concept-driven solutions and working in a small growing studio. Projects range from cultural buildings, institutional proposals, a remote island residence, and an artist's studio and residence.We are looking for an architect with experience in all phases to assist in leading specifically the Design Development, CD, and CA phases. Your role will be to lead the production of all necessary documents, drawings, models, and images related to the architectural process and to coordinate with project consultants. The ideal candidate should be interested in joining a small firm and participating in its growth.Exceptional candidates with varying levels of experience will be considered. Hybrid / in-person and part-time work can be considered.Responsibilities:
Lead the production of all necessary documents, drawings, models, and images related to the architectural process.Coordinate with project consultants.Assist in the production and development of all necessary documents, drawings, models, images, schemes, etc. related to the design and building process.Work on construction documentation phases, technical detailing, schedules, project-related material research, and complex problem solving on all scales.Liaise with consultants to assess design solutions and guarantee the integrity of the final design.Minimum Requirements:
Professional or Graduate Degree in Architecture.5-8+ years of experience working in an architecture office.Strong conceptual, graphic, and design skills illustrated in a comprehensive portfolio.Strong AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite skills.Strong rendering skills, preferably Vray.Experience working on complex projects in all phases.Confidence moving a project forward independently.Fluency in spoken and written English.Good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team.About DVLPRDVLPR (pronounced ‘developer’) is a research-based design studio committed to a proactive role for design practices located in New York City and founded in 2013 by David Andrew Tasman.
