We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Officer to join our well-established remote lending team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage lending or origination and a proven track record of successfully matching borrowers with the right lenders. • Remote Position: Work from the comfort of your home while being part of our dynamic team. • Inbound Leads: We provide live inbound leads to ensure you have a steady stream of potential clients to work with. • Leadership Support: Benefit from comprehensive leadership support to help you achieve your professional goals and deliver exceptional service to clients. Responsibilities: • Find ideal mortgage product and lender for potential borrowers by researching competitive mortgage rates and interest rates and negotiating terms • Counsel applicants and home buyers on various loan products, buying or refinance process, prospective lenders, and lending guidelines • Determine each applicant’s or borrower’s specific lending or refinance needs after conducting a thorough interview • Build referral relationships with real estate professionals and relationships with mortgage lenders/ mortgage bankers, maintain current lending rate sheets, and stay up to date on current mortgage industry trends •
Manage Inbound Leads:
Efficiently handle and convert live inbound leads to grow your client base. •
Rate Shopping and Negotiation:
Shop for competitive mortgage rates and negotiate terms with various lenders to find the ideal mortgage lender for each applicant. •
Relationship Building:
Build and maintain referral relationships with real estate professionals and strong connections with mortgage lenders and mortgage bankers. •
Stay Informed:
Keep current lending rate sheets updated and stay informed about the latest mortgage industry trends. •
Application Submission:
Submit application files to lenders on behalf of homeowners, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete. •
Process Coordination:
Interface with mortgage professionals such as processors, AE's, and realtors. •
Client Education:
Educate clients on various loan products, funding sources, the buying or refinancing process, and lending guidelines to empower them to make informed decisions. Qualifications: • Exceptional communications skills, time-management and analysis skills, and independently resourceful • Requires 5 years of mortgage loan origination or loan officer experience • Current NMLS licensure or National Association of Mortgage Broker license or certification required • Bachelor’s degree preferred in real estate law, banking, finance, business administration, or economics • Possess a strong understanding of mortgage products and loan process from origination to close Compensation: $225,000 - $250,000 yearly
