Job Description:
GDIT is seeking a Business Development executive to lead the growth team and strategy for the Intelligence and Homeland Security (IHS) Division’s Mission Solutions Sector (MSS). This role will pursue new initiatives as well as drive organic growth through existing contracts and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of successfully closing business on large and strategic opportunities, and an ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT IHS Division. A demonstrated intimacy across the major customer stakeholder organizations, including the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), National Geospatial Agency (NGA) and National Reconnaissance Organization (NRO), and an understanding of customer strategies and enterprise initiatives, is required to perform this role.
As a key leader in the IHS Growth organization, he/she will be responsible for leading the growth organization for the MSS sector. He/she will be responsible for building, managing, leading, training, coaching and mentoring a best-in-class team of Business Development and Capture Management professionals. He/she will be a hands-on leader, partnering with the line and CTO organizations to identify, qualify, pursue and propose business opportunities with the DIA, NGA, NRO and Defense Intelligence customers.
Collaborate with senior growth and delivery executives to develop, execute, and refine account growth strategy, in alignment with the MSS sector’s overall strategic plans.
Develop and maintain high quality relationships with customers and partners, including next generation technology vendors.
Engage with these customers, partners, and other relevant stakeholders to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
Manage a team of Business Development executives and Capture Managers to develop and prosecute an opportunity pipeline.
Shape business opportunities and our position throughout the opportunity life cycle.
Lead the identification of new and recompete business opportunities that support the account plan, sector growth goals, and submit targets, throughout the opportunity life cycle.
Execute customer and industry call plans to collect information about business opportunities; in collaboration with technical staff, proposes and tests potential solutions; and qualifies opportunities.
Establish value added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to create a profitable return at a winning cost.
Prepare for and present opportunities for bid decisions and pipeline reviews.
Required Qualifications:
15+ years of hands-on experience in Business Development or similar experience in the Federal Intelligence Community market with experience at DIA, NGA, NRO, and other defense intelligence agencies.
Bachelor's degree required.
Demonstrated ability to grow and win business.
Experience leading a Business Development team and experience leading a team of Capture Managers.
Extensive background developing business focused on IT Services, Lifecycle SW development, Cyber, Intelligence Analysis, and/or AI solutions within the Intelligence Community.
Established customer relationships within the DIA, NGA, NRO and other defense intelligence agencies.
Experience with budget, investments and acquisition processes.
Current TS/SCI with Poly level security clearance.
US Citizenship required.
