$23.00 - $29.50 USDJob Description:The Teller I works in a TD Store location and plays a key role in delivering legendary customer experiences while processing everyday banking transactions with accuracy and efficiency while also educating customers on TD's products and services or referring them to a partner for specialized solutions.Depth & Scope:Executes TD's Brand promise to customers by consistently executing appropriate behaviors to deliver a Legendary Customer experience in the Store.Performs customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan and safe deposit box payments efficiently.Processes cash transactions such as cashing checks, verifying currency, balancing cash drawer, and night deposits with a high level of accuracy.Responds to and resolves customer inquiries and concerns using standard procedures and escalating to management as necessary.Engages in lobby leadership by orchestrating customer flow, warmly welcoming customers, and guiding appropriately.Understands customer preferences with banking (when and how they want) and educates customers on self-service/digital options that meet their needs.Acts as an advocate for the customer by conducting needs-based conversations; offering financial & digital solutions, and/or referring the customer to appropriate partner to provide solutions.Makes sound decisions and provides timely problem resolution, escalating more difficult issues to management.Ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.Verifies customers' identities by following customer authentication policies & procedures.Balances cash drawers Automated Teller machines (ATMs) and Teller Cash Dispensers (TCDs)/Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs) as necessary.Adheres to safe deposit box procedures/operations and guidelines.Responsible and accountable for cash drawers and vaults including maintaining appropriate cash limits and securing cash at all times.Accountable for ensuring confidential customer information is securely stored throughout the day.Understands the importance of and follows dual control.Follows all security and audit measures to minimize potential loss.Utilizes bank tools and processes to detect, address and prevent fraud.Expected to complete all required in-classroom training and on-line training by established due dates.Education & Experience:High school diploma or GED.6 months work related experience preferred; or equivalent can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, military experience.Ability to work during operating hours to include weekends, evenings, holidays as scheduled.Demonstrated Customer Service skills preferred.Strong organizational skills.Detail-oriented.Ability to function in a fast-paced and changing environment.Excellent communication skills with ability to be concise, clear and consistent.Physical Requirements:Domestic Travel – Occasional.International Travel – Never.Performing sedentary work – Continuous.Performing multiple tasks – Continuous.Operating standard office equipment - Continuous.Responding quickly to sounds – Occasional.Sitting – Continuous.Standing – Frequent.Walking – Occasional.Moving safely in confined spaces – Occasional.Lifting/Carrying (under 25 lbs.) – Occasional.Lifting/Carrying (over 25 lbs.) – Never.Squatting – Occasional.Bending – Occasional.Kneeling – Never.Crawling – Never.Climbing – Never.Reaching overhead – Never.Reaching forward – Occasional.Pushing – Never.Pulling – Never.Twisting – Never.Concentrating for long periods of time – Continuous.Applying common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations – Continuous.Reading, writing and comprehending instructions – Continuous.Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing – Continuous.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
