Located on the downtown Orlando Health campus, Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children has been providing compassionate care to the children, teenagers and young adults of Central Florida for more than 30 years. The Pediatric Surgery Department at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is seeking an experienced, Pediatric Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join their team as we continue our efforts to offer comprehensive pediatric care so children have the opportunity to continue progressing, regardless of injury or surgical condition. Our skilled surgeons have been dedicated to pediatric healthcare in Orlando for over 30 years, and also proudly lead the only Level One Trauma Center in Central Florida.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Inpatient management and rounds with Surgeons and Pediatric Surgery Residents within Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Critical Care Step-Down, Pediatric Acute Care Floors, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.Evaluate and treat patients in our Outpatient Burn Clinic within Arnold Palmer Hospital Emergency Department.Perioperative care coordination and patient education to enhance the care of the pediatric surgical patient.Evaluate Pediatric Surgical Consults within Arnold Palmer Hospital and Winnie Palmer Hospital.Outpatient clinic responsibilities including specialty clinics, satellite clinic opportunities, post-operative and trauma follow-ups, and acute care visits.Qualifications

Education/Training

Master's degree or Doctorate degree in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant Studies.Licensure/Certification

Certified as a Pediatric Primary Care or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner; or certified as Physician Assistant.Current active certification and licensure in the State of Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant.Maintains current BLS and PALS certification.
