A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Associate to join its Consumer Class Action and Mass Arbitration Practice Group in New York, NY. This role involves managing a large volume of arbitration cases and consumer class actions, with opportunities for significant courtroom and arbitration advocacy. The ideal candidate will take ownership of cases, develop case strategies, and work closely with both senior and junior attorneys. This is a full-time position with the option for hybrid or remote work for the right candidate.Duties:
Draft detailed and comprehensive pleadings, discovery demands, and client communications.Review and guide the work of junior attorneys on tasks related to consumer class actions and mass arbitrations.Develop and refine case theories, providing substantive input on litigation strategies.Manage a significant caseload of arbitration cases, driving cases forward and ensuring positive outcomes.Represent clients in arbitrations, mediations, and court appearances, including oral arguments, hearings, and trials.Work independently on litigation matters while also collaborating with a legal team to advance case goals.Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction.Minimum of 4 years of experience in plaintiffs' side mass arbitration or consumer litigation.Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.Strong analytical, research, and writing skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Experience with arbitration processes, court appearances, trials, motions, and hearings.Preferred but not required: experience with data breach cases or high-volume arbitration cases.Law Review, Federal Court clerkship, or equivalent legal writing experience is a plus.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Active bar admission in the United States.Skills:
Exceptional legal research, writing, and case management abilities.Strong courtroom advocacy and oral argument skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.Proficiency in handling complex litigation matters with a focus on client advocacy.
