A law firm seeks a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5+ years of experience to join its team in St. Louis, MO. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned litigators, develop trial skills, and gain hands-on experience in both state and federal courts. Collaborate with experienced attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants in preparing cases.Assist in trial preparation, including organizing evidence, preparing documents, and creating presentations.Handle depositions, mediations, conferences with claimants and judges, and court appearances.Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, findings of fact, and opinions.Manage large caseloads, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.Engage in negotiations and interact with corporate professionals to facilitate case progress.Requirements:
3-5+ years of experience in civil litigation.Strong understanding of state and federal laws and court procedures.Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle a significant caseload and multitask effectively.Strong negotiation skills and commitment to high-quality performance.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Certifications:
Active law license in Missouri.Ability to obtain licensing in Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska is preferred.Skills:
Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and trial preparation.Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and courtroom interactions.Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and work independently.Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
