The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting immigrants, a go-getter attitude, and the ability to handle federal immigration proceedings as well as state court criminal cases. Duties:
Take ownership of client cases, including federal immigration proceedings and state court criminal matters.Conduct client meetings, recommend legal strategies, and guide clients through the immigration process.Delegate tasks to paralegals and legal assistants, ensuring high-quality work and case management.Provide a wide range of immigration services, including family immigration, employment immigration, and deportation defense.Requirements:
Passion for supporting immigrant clients and advocating for their legal rights.Ability to manage both federal immigration cases and state court criminal matters.Strong organizational and delegation skills, with experience in supervising support staff.Fluent Spanish speaker preferred, but not required.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.Skills:
Strong legal research, writing, and case management skills.Ability to communicate legal strategies effectively to clients and colleagues.Proficiency in delegating tasks and monitoring progress to ensure case completion.Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.Excellent client interaction and communication abilities.
