Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clientsRepresent detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration AppealsManage an active caseload with regular client interactionConduct intakes and interviews with detained individuals at detention centersPrepare diverse immigration applications, including those for removal defense and family-based petitionsReview and make adjustments to immigration application packets as necessaryWork with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on updates to immigration lawConduct strategic consultations with potential clients to develop case plansDevelop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimonyProvide legal analysis to assess case benefits for clientsDraft and submit legal briefs for a range of immigration casesRequirements:
0-3 years of experience in immigration lawAbility to work effectively as part of a collaborative teamBilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, but not required)Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to client serviceExperience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship applications, and other USCIS applications (preferred)Familiarity with case management software (preferred)Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolCertifications:
Active bar admission (or recent law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered)Skills:
Knowledge of immigration law and case management practicesExcellent communication skills for client interactionsStrong organizational and caseload management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced legal environment and handle multiple responsibilities
