The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County in Brevard, NC is hiring a full-time Director of Resource Development & Public Relations . As the largest youth development organization in the county, the Club serves nearly 550 school-aged children and teens each year. Founded in 1999, the Club is committed to enabling all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Our Club is affiliated with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a nationwide movement of community-based, autonomous organizations working to help youth of all backgrounds develop the qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders. We offer daily access to a broad range of programs that promote academic success, cultivate healthy lifestyles and nurture good character and citizenship.
The Club is seeking a hard-working, enthusiastic leader, who is passionate about impacting the lives of youth, to serve as the Club’s Director of Resource Development & Public Relations. The Director of Resource Development & Public Relations is responsible for managing and administering all aspects of resource development and fundraising. This position is responsible for overseeing two full-time positions and works closely with the Executive Director, the board, and the Grant Writer to ensure the Club’s annual budgeted income is met.
Resource Development
Work collaboratively with the Executive Director, the Director of Donor Relations & Major Events and the following Board committees: Resource Development, Finance and Executive to develop and execute an annual resource development plan that supports budgeted revenue goals and incorporates short- and long-term strategy, marketing and communications and Board engagement.
Evaluate and analyze trends in giving. Report resource development updates, data and outcomes at the Resource Development and Board meetings each month or when applicable.
Evaluate overall results of fundraising campaigns and recommend modifications or new approaches to support successful achievement of development goals.
Resource Management
Engage the Executive Director, Director of Donor Relations and key Board members in individual and corporate donor solicitations based on donor interests, personal relationships, program expertise or other criteria.
Responsible for the development and administration/adherence of an annual resource development budget that includes projecting income and expenses for all applicable resource development charts of accounts (Annual Campaign, Special Events, Fundraisers, Resource Development supplies, major gifts, endowment, etc.).
Responsible for overseeing the accuracy and efficiency of the following processes: data entry of donor contributions, notes regarding donor engagement, personal/biographical donor information, recognition and reporting, managing prospects, etc. using the
DonorPerfect
software. This is mainly accomplished by leading and supporting the RD & Grants Assistant and communicating frequently with the Club’s accounting firm.
Public Relations
As required, represent the Club as a speaker or representative at various community events.
Ensure timely and accurate social media posts are scheduled.
Work with program directors to highlight different program achievements throughout the year, both in written documentation (i.e. the Transylvania Time or Newsletters) and on social media .
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
