Conduct client consultations and provide tailored legal guidance.Supervise and oversee legal assistants and support staff on client matters.Develop strategies and guide clients in gathering necessary information and documentation for their cases.Research complex immigration issues, offering insightful and innovative solutions.Handle cases involving defensive and affirmative asylum, U visas, T visas, VAWA, waivers, and similar immigration matters.Prepare for and attend immigration court proceedings, including hearings related to removal proceedings.Draft, prepare, and review briefs, motions, and pleadings while conducting thorough legal research.Update clients on case progress and maintain regular communication.Lead weekly team meetings to coordinate case management with support staff.Manage a substantial caseload efficiently and effectively.Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a licensed attorney handling removal proceedings, humanitarian, and family-based immigration cases.Proficiency in legal research software, such as Lexis.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Strong research abilities with high attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple cases independently under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong client service orientation.Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar.Skills:
Excellent command of English grammar and writing.Effective self-management and accountability with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.Strong analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.Job Location:
