Immigration Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks an experienced Immigration Attorney to provide expert legal representation and strategic solutions in immigration matters. This role involves handling a diverse caseload, from removal proceedings to family-based petitions, while collaborating with clients and various organizations to navigate complex immigration laws.Duties:Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and thorough case handling.Conduct intakes with detained individuals at centers.Prepare and review diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.Present and collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law changes.Meet with potential clients for strategic consultations and determine the appropriate strategy.Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.Provide legal analysis to identify case benefits and prepare legal briefs for various immigration cases.Requirements:1-4 years of Immigration Law experience.Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish).Strong interpersonal skills and a proven record of advancing legal cases.Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained matters, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and strategize with colleagues.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in California.Skills:Proficiency in immigration law and legal procedures.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong organizational abilities and case management skills.Ability to work with diverse client backgrounds and legal situations.Benefits Offered:Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Competitive compensation package including a 401(k) plan.Catered lunches, complimentary parking, paid time off, and additional perks.Company info
