Seeking an Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join a well-established law firm in Los Angeles, CA. This role offers an opportunity for recent law graduates or attorneys with minimal experience to gain valuable exposure to immigration law, collaborate with seasoned professionals, and contribute to impactful immigration cases, including both family-based immigration and removal defense.Location

Duties

Explain immigration concepts to clients and propose strategic solutions.Represent both non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings at Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.Manage a diverse caseload independently, ensuring timely case progression.Conduct intakes with detained individuals at detention centers.Prepare and review immigration applications, including defense cases and family-based petitions.Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations to address changes in immigration law.Consult with potential clients to evaluate case strategy and potential outcomes.Develop and implement case strategies; prepare clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.Provide legal analysis to clients on potential case benefits.Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.Requirements

0-3 years of experience in Immigration Law.Proven ability to manage a caseload and advance cases effectively.Experience in Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.Familiarity with case management software preferred.Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous.Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the bar (must be licensed to practice law).Certifications

Active bar membership in any U.S. state (California preferred but not required).Skills
