Duties
Develop strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimoniesRepresent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings, including appearances before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration AppealsManage a caseload of diverse immigration cases, ensuring compliance and timely progressConduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centersPrepare and review various immigration applications, including those for removal defense and family-based petitionsCollaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on changes in immigration lawMeet with potential clients to provide strategic immigration consultations and determine case directionConduct legal analysis to assess potential benefits for clientsDraft and submit legal briefs across a range of immigration casesRequirements
3-5 years of experience in immigration lawTeam-oriented and open to collaboration and strategic discussions with associatesBilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)Exceptional interpersonal and communication skillsProven track record of advancing legal cases and managing caseloads effectivelyExperience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship applications, and other USCIS-related processesProficiency with case management software preferredEducation
Juris Doctor (JD)
from an accredited law schoolCertifications
Licensed Attorney
in good standing (California Bar Admission preferred)Skills
