A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated attorney with a minimum of 7 years in insurance defense to join its Texas team. This position requires handling civil litigation cases through trial, with a primary focus on bodily injury defense, construction, and various insurance defense matters. The attorney will work both independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality legal representation and meet client needs.Duties
Manage civil litigation cases from inception through trial.Represent clients in bodily injury defense, construction, and other insurance defense matters.Conduct depositions, attend oral arguments and hearings, and negotiate settlements.Provide comprehensive reporting and legal counsel to clients.Collaborate with the legal team to ensure a thorough defense strategy.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal trends and case law.Achieve client objectives efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment.Requirements
7+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation (preferred).Proven ability to manage complex civil cases through trial.Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work remotely while maintaining high standards of legal performance.Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications
Active and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.Additional licensure in other states is a plus.Skills
