A law firm seeks an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to join its New York office. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience and will oversee client files with minimal supervision, providing practical legal advice, engaging in litigation, and representing clients in a variety of labor and employment matters. This role offers a hybrid work model, with flexibility for remote work. The successful attorney will collaborate with partners and engage in high-level employment law matters, including discrimination claims, wage and hour violations, trade secret misappropriation, and more.Duties:Manage and litigate labor and employment law cases, including claims for discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and trade secret misappropriation.Provide comprehensive legal counsel to business clients on a wide array of employment-related matters.Advise employers on union issues, employee discipline, terminations, policy development, and implementation.Oversee employment agreements, restrictive covenants, internal investigations, and leave of absence management.Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents.Represent clients in court hearings and depositions, and manage client relationships.Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop legal strategies for complex labor and employment cases.Requirements:Minimum of 7 years of experience in labor and employment law.Strong background in employment litigation, including experience with discrimination, retaliation, trade secret issues, and wage and hour law.Proven experience advising employers on a range of employment issues, including union matters and workplace policies.Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently, offering practical legal solutions.Effective communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.Candidates with experience in insurance defense or Labor Law § 240/241 will not be considered.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.Skills:Strong litigation and negotiation skills in labor and employment law.Ability to work autonomously and manage complex caseloads with minimal supervision.Excellent legal research and writing skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relations and courtroom proceedings.Ability to offer practical solutions and adapt legal strategies to meet client needs.Benefits:Annual discretionary bonus.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.Life insurance and disability insurance.401(k) Profit Sharing Plan.Paid time off.This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic law firm, handling complex labor and employment matters, while benefiting from a hybrid work environment and a comprehensive benefits package.Company infoBCG Attorney Search125 Park Avenue, 25th floorNew YorkNew YorkUnited States 10017Phone :
