The successful candidate can be based in one of the firm’s offices in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Atlanta, or Washington, D.C., with remote candidates considered on a case-by-case basis. This role requires extensive experience providing legal advice on various health and welfare benefit plans, compliance with key regulations such as the Affordable Care Act, COBRA, and HIPAA, as well as the drafting and negotiation of service provider agreements. The attorney will play a pivotal role in advising employers on compliance and litigation issues surrounding health and welfare plans.Duties:Advise businesses on all aspects of health and welfare benefit plans, including wrap plans, cafeteria plans, and flexible benefits arrangementsCounsel clients on compliance with Affordable Care Act (ACA), COBRA, HIPAA, Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, and other regulatory requirementsDraft and negotiate service provider agreementsProvide guidance on TiC (Transparency in Coverage) and CAA 21 (Consolidated Appropriations Act) complianceResolve legal issues related to the administration and management of health and welfare plansOffer proactive advice to employers on compliance, litigation, and regulatory issues affecting health and welfare plansRequirements:Significant experience providing legal counsel on health and welfare employee benefitsExpertise in ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related regulationsProven ability to draft and negotiate service provider agreementsExperience advising employers on compliance and litigation issues related to employee benefit plansStrong client advisory and relationship management skillsEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdictionSkills:In-depth knowledge of employee benefits and executive compensation regulationsExcellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesAbility to manage complex client relationships and legal mattersAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyCompany infoBCG Attorney Search1629 K ST NW, Suite 300WashingtonDistrict of ColumbiaUnited States 20006Phone :
