The Shoe Expeditor is responsible for processing new merchandise and recovering the shoe sales area as well as maintaining high customer service and presentation standards. Perform other duties as needed.Essential Functions:Recover shoe sales floor and scan inventory back into stockMaintain integrity of shoe inventory by ensuring accuracy of scanning and placementReceive and process new merchandiseAssist in moving tables and fixtures on shoe sales floor for new merchandise, season changes, clearance sets, and special eventsSet up shoe displays for new merchandise, season changes, clearance sets, and special eventsPull orders from stock and stage for selling colleaguesFulfill shoe ordersProcess damages, return to vendors, and shoe jobbersReplenish displays and other products as neededAssist in the markdown processAssist in seasonal inventoryMaintain orderliness and cleanliness of shoe sales areaAttend to customer service needs in a friendly and helpful manner when approachedMaintain high customer readiness standards by delivering a clean, neat, easy to shop store environmentDependable attendance and punctualityQualifications and Competencies:No Education or Experience RequiredStrong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesAbility to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidaysPhysical Requirements:Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or departmentMay involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, color vision, and climbing laddersFrequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job duties, including handheld electronic equipment.Frequently lift/move up to 50lbsThis position requires constant handling of heavy and/or bulky items as well as sharp items such as box cutters and scissors.
