The People Operations Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the people and talent functions within the company in a hybrid capacity (remote, office and field based). This role involves coordinating various aspects of people operations, field-employee support, employee relations, and administrative processes to ensure a positive and efficient workplace environment. This opportunity is a good bridge from an administrative role to a generalist focus.
Key Responsibilities
Bilingual Support
Represent the People and Talent team as a main point of contact for our Spanish speaking population.Translate company documents and materials between English and Spanish languages.Onboarding
Assist in the recruitment process by preparing for and helping facilitate the onboarding of new employees.Collaborate with hiring managers and other members of the People and Talent team to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.Coordinate training (e.g., safety, new hire orientation and site-specific), new hire/employee processing, and credentialing (e.g., badging at an airport).Employee Records and Documentation
Maintain and coordinate accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, benefits information, and attendance records.Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance.Benefits Administration
Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and coordinate open enrollment processes.Employee Relations
Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters, providing guidance and support.Assist in resolving employee concerns and conflicts in collaboration with HR leadership.Training and Development
Coordinate training programs and initiatives to enhance employee skills, promote professional development and maintain compliance.Assist in the implementation and administration of performance management processes.Employee Engagement & Event Coordination
Help organize company events, team-building activities, and employee recognition programs.Be present on our jobsites to help maintain visibility for the People and Talent team.Help oversee the company merch inventory and distribution.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.2-3 years of experience in human resources or people operations, preferably in the construction industry.Bilingual (English and Spanish), required.Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.Strong organizational and administrative skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS software.A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.Benefits
