The Senior Manager, Human Resources is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources function for the TransPerfect Connect Division, one of many family of companies that provides language services and technology solutions for global businesses. The Senior Manager, Human Resources leads a team of HR professionals who support employees, supervisors, co-workers and senior management remotely and in contact center environments. The day-to-day work of this role will support all stages of the employee lifecycle including answering general questions, facilitating training, and partnering with management to resolve employee relations issues. The Senior Manager, Human Resources is responsible for evaluating employee programs, making improvements to employee relations policies, and making sure all employee-related policies align with corporate goals and established regulations. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with state, federal labor legislation requirements and labor reporting. The Senior Manager, Human Resources is responsible for ensuring that employment laws and related policies and processes for domestic and international locations are secured and followed. The Senior Manager, Human Resources will work closely with the rest of the HR team to ensure timely deliverables of projects, policies, and division specific process improvements.ResponsibilitiesPartner with management to understand and resolve employee relations issues including providing guidance on company policies and procedures, advising on disciplinary action, writing performance improvement plans, and addressing general concerns.Partner with VP of Operations and key stakeholders to develop compensation incentive plans.Manage a team of HR professionals that support all U.S. and international locations.Oversee employment-related investigations and work with legal counsel as necessary.Support processes through the employee lifecycle including performance management, organizational change, and conduct issues.Review employee handbooks and SOPs for legal compliance, maintain, and make updates as required.Facilitate the development of senior level job descriptions in compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws for all positions.In conjunction with senior management, create and update compensation strategy through market analysis and pay surveys.Ensures all employment practices comply with federal, state and local regulations.Ensures the new hire orientation process properly introduces new employees to the corporate and divisional cultures.Review federal, state, and local compliance changes such as paid sick leave and make policy changes where appropriate.Ensures development and delivery of trainings for management on various topics such as effective communication as well as annual compliance training for employees.Oversee and review HR processes and initiate changes to improve efficiency and scalability.Primary point of contact for all EEOC, DFEH and NLRB inquiries/claims.Ensures the administration of leaves of absences, ADA and Workers Compensation claims for division are managed legally and timely.Perform other special projects or duties when required.QualificationsExceptional interpersonal skills, relationship-building and an ability to connect with employees and managementExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required as well as good public relations, public speaking, instructional/teaching, and customer service skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) with preference in Workday experienceMust be pro-active, have a good attitude, be self-disciplined, and self-motivatedMust be a "take-charge" person with a demonstrated ability to follow projects through to completionMust be able to hold firm when necessary, provide constructive feedback, and compromise when appropriateMust be able to use sound judgment and make objective decisions in the company's best interest at all timesMust be organized, reliable, results driven with the proven ability to solve problems on the spot partnered with an ability to see the big picture and make improvementsMust have the ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment of constant interruptions and be able to prioritize responsibilitiesMust be able to maintain strict confidence with regards to sensitive and protected personnel/confidential informationAble to perform in a fast-paced environment while always maintaining excellent serviceRequired ExperienceMinimum Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related business field5 to 7 years experience in HRMinimum of 3 years managing HR professionalsHR call center experience preferredExperience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork in a diverse environmentExperience in compensation strategy, performance management, employee relations, talent acquisition, and the ability to apply this information in a manner compliant with relevant employment lawMulti-state employment law experience preferredHR certification preferredInternational experience is a plusDesired ExperienceExperience using WorkdayBi-lingual in English and SpanishTransPerfect provides equal employment opportunity to all individuals regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by states, federal, or local law.Join our innovative, achievement-driven culture, and you will discover lasting rewards and the opportunity to take your career further than you can imagine.
