Position Summary
The Fund Accountant works as part of the finance and accounting team and is primarily responsible for the processing of securities and loan related transaction activity to our systems of record and periodic reporting for our investment portfolio. The Senior Fund Accountant should be a detail-oriented self-starter with a good understanding of the basics of accounting and financial services.
Responsibilities & DutiesPerform daily and monthly bank account and general ledger account reconciliations for our securities and loan portfoliosValidate daily and monthly transactional data and reporting generated from our systems against supporting documentation and cash movement, to include trade and remittance data, cash journal entries and aged receivablesProcess transactions in and maintain various securities, loan, and debt sub-ledgers and prepare month-end journal entriesUpdate month-end and quarter-end internal and external reporting filesProvide documentation to internal audit group and external audit firms as neededDocument desk level procedures for new processes, as necessaryRequired Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance3-5+ years general accounting experience, experience in financial services preferredAbility to work independently in a dynamic and fast paced environmentAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables/VLOOKUP's)
A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this role is $100 - 110K annually. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certification, and other factors.
