Job Responsibilities and Requirements
The Supplemental Health Specialist will be field-based subject matter expert (SME), working with RSL's Regional Practice Leaders (RPLs). Reporting to the Head of Supplemental Health, he/she will performs tasks including the coordination, completion and positioning of RSL in the supp health quote workbooks, building and delivering reports and helping identify cross-sell opportunities.
The Supplemental Health Specialist will work with Underwriting, Pre-Sale Specialist (PSS) Team and the RPLs to prioritize, manage, position answers, complete and submit quote workbooks within the assigned deadlines. While the quote workbooks are the first priority, there are times of the year that are not as active with large quotes. During those times, there will be a focus on building and delivering reports and identifying cross-sell opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
:(70% weighting) Coordination, completion and positioning of RSL in the supp health quote workbooksPerforms assigned tasks related to handling of multiple RFP inboxes to ensure all quotes are coordinated with the Underwriter, PSS and Sales within specified deadlines.RFP management that includes:Communicating and Managing DeadlinesEnsuring all functional areas are completing quote and questionnaire informationCompleting (including positioning answers in the workbook) and getting final sign off of platform responses with Sales and UnderwritingBe a primary point of contact for the status of cases throughout the duration of an RFP's life cycle (from initial submission of the RFP to proposal).Identifying and prioritizing RFPs in accordance with Exchange Platform objectivesFinal submission of quote through Exchange PlatformEnsuring Salesforce is documented appropriately including probability and any notes.
(30% weighting) Sales coordination responsibilities
Develop and run reports for quotes including probability listsCross-sell prioritizationDevelopment of highlight sheets when there's an expedited needRequired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced, high volume and deadline oriented environmentLife/Health licensedHighly competent user of core MS Office applications (Word, Excel)Sense of urgency, and ability to identify urgent matters and prioritize tasks appropriatelyA deadline/results orientation and extraordinary attention to detailAbility to understand and position Reliance Standard value propositionBasic customer service experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDynamic ability to communicate with all levels within the organizationAbility to Travel:

The expected hiring range for this position is $65,010.00 - $81,270.00 annually for work performed in the primary location (Philadelphia, PA). This expected hiring range covers only base pay and excludes any other compensation components such as commissions or incentive awards. The successful candidate's starting base pay will be based on several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
