Summary:
Under general direction, incumbent(s) installs and maintains enterprise server systems hardware and software, and ensures network and server systems meets District demands. Incumbent(s) assist in maintaining the physical network infrastructure such as the data, voice and video systems. In addition, incumbent(s) will travel to the various district sites, which requires possession of a valid and current Arizona Department of Transportation Driver's license as well as a clean driving record.
Essential Functions:
Install, configure, and maintain enterprise systems such as servers, network switches and routers, backups, storage arrays, UPS, and printers.Install, configure, and maintain operating systems such as Windows Server and VMware ESXI; as well as enterprise applications such as Windows Active Directory, VMWare VCenter, Exchange Server, IIS, Antivirus, and SQL Server.Install, configure, and maintain all aspects of a converged VoIP telephony system including server based call managers, voicemail systems, and 911 services. Performs Moves, Adds, and Changes to VoIP and analog telephony devices as needed.Troubleshoot and maintain district ip video distribution, and Public Address Systems, coordinating repairs with outside vendors as necessary.Monitor and troubleshoot Local/Wide Area Network switching and routing problems using various network tools such as Omnipeek, Wireshark, and Solar Winds Orion.Serves as technical expert in recommending hardware and software components for system builds, such as building server BOM's and recommending appropriate specifications and versions to Sr. leadership.Maintains technical documentation regarding server/network configurations.Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.Required Qualifications:

Experience troubleshooting and repairing enterprise hardware such as HP, Dell, or IBM servers, SAN and storage systems, and network attached printers;Experience managing and troubleshooting server operating systems and Hypervisors such as Windows Server, Linux, and VMware ESXI;Experience managing Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain services such as DNS, DHCP, WINS, SNMP, and NTP;Experience managing enterprise backup systems;Familiarity with current network principals and methodologies;Base level knowledge of MS Visio and Project;High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) prior to being hired;Valid Arizona Department of Transportation Driver's License.Preferred Qualifications:
It is preferred that applicant possesses the following preferred qualifications; however, the following qualifications are not required to be eligible for this position.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field;Two years' experience troubleshooting and repairing enterprise hardware such as HP or Dell servers, SAN and storage systems, and network attached printers;Two years experience managing and troubleshooting server operating systems and Hypervisors such as Server 2008-2019, Linux, and VMware Vsphere;Two years experience managing Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain services such as DNS, DHCP, WINS, SNMP, and NTP;Two years experience managing large scale backup systems, preferable Tivoli Storage Manager;One year experience managing and troubleshooting Cisco local and wide area network technology;Two years experience managing and troubleshooting Voice over IP systems such as Cisco Unified Communication Manager, Cisco Unity, and Cisco UCCX;Experience in common scripting languages and shells such as PowerShell, or VBS;Certifications: MCSA/MCSE, CCENT/CCNA, A+, Network+.
