**DESCRIPTION**We are looking for a talented Electrician - Level II to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Columbus, IN.**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:**+ **Electrical Maintenance and Support** : Youll ensure equipment availability and capability by performing electrical maintenance and machine support tasks. Your expertise will keep production running smoothly.+ **Safety Advocate (HSE)** : Report hazards, comply with standards, and use personal protective equipment. Promote interdependence and minimize environmental impact.+ **Quality Steward** : Uphold high standards of workmanship. Analyze equipment failures, follow process documentation, and provide feedback for preventive maintenance. Quality inspections are essential.+ **Reliable Delivery** : Execute electrical repairs and document preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities. Adhere to codes and standards for safe operation.+ **Problem Solver** : Identify manufacturing constraints, schedule maintenance efficiently, and contribute to process improvements.+ **Team Player** : Effective communication within your team and with support groups is key. Invest in training and collaborate with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams for quality, safety, and process enhancements.**RESPONSIBILITIES****To be successful in this role you will need the following:**+ **Effective Communication** : Develop and deliver clear, multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences. Understand their unique needs and convey information effectively.+ **Controls Safety** : Recognize hazards related to controls (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) in a manufacturing environment. Incorporate safe practices and procedures into your daily work to reduce injuries and create a secure machine environment.+ **Factory Automation and Control Systems** : Implement changes to further automate manufacturing processes. Leverage available technology and programming techniques. Identify necessary materials and resources for successful project completion.+ **Machine Programming** : Design and implement solutions that enhance machine usage and overall operation on the factory floor. Your programming skills will significantly impact efficiency.+ **Manufacturing Knowledge** : Demonstrate expertise in manufacturing processes. Implement changes effectively, aligning with the functions needs, and contribute to continuous improvement.**Education:**High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.**Experience:**Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.**QUALIFICATIONS****Additional Information:**+ Maintenance technicians are responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, testing and fault diagnosis, repair and disassembly of a wide range of electrical plant and associated components.+ Typical equipment includes robotic and automation cells that include (Single phase/three phase/Low Voltage, switch panels, transformers, motors, lighting systems, and circuit protection devices such as (Fuses, MCBs, Relays, VFDs, Thermal Overloads).+ Electrical maintenance technicians are expected to be able to diagnose the causes of electrical or mechanical malfunctions or failures of operational equipment in a prompt and efficient manner.+ Ability to interpret maintenance specifications, drawings and wiring diagrams desired+ Support mechanical and fabrication projects that may not be in the normal standard electrical maintenance process.+ Proficiency with multi-meter vital.+ Participation in improvement projects is expected.+ Ability to identify risks as well as effectively handle them.+ Arc Flash knowledge of NFPA 70E desired.+ Support PM Maintenance System.**Job** Manufacturing**Organization** Cummins Inc.**Role Category** On-site**Job Type** Shop**ReqID** 2400729**Relocation Package** No**Cummins and E-Verify**At Cummins, we are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
