Position Overview
Manufacturing operation planner generate manufacturing and operation plans that meet the expectations of supply to the distribution centers of the Mustad group and direct customers, ensuring the availability of resources and guaranteeing the established inventory levels. Responsible for analyzing supply/demand/industrial/production information and preparing detailed plans for DC, production, packaging, maintenance, and tooling using in the most efficient way the company resources to meet operational goals. Also responsible for ERP/MRP and data analysis strategy for operations. Lead according to Mustad values.
Key responsibilities
Analyze the supply/demand plan of the finished product and make the master p lan with operational windows (including production, packaging, maintenance, and machine shop) of one year, based on the information provided by the logistics area.
Lead and define ERP/MRP strategies and ways of working (methods and procedures) in the company to meet company goals.
Manage the inventory levels of spare parts, raw materials, tooling and consumables through the formulation of statistical models that allow to understand trends to make decisions regarding the optimal inventories, possible shortages or purchasing emergencies.
Participate in the relevant S&OP cycles, establishing commitments and analyzing plant capacity and inventory availability to meet demand.
Prepare the production budgets, establishing cost control in collaboration with master planning. Use cost-benefit analysis to improve cost efficiency to ensure a functional structure and contribute to increasing profitability and meeting the Company's objectives.
Analyze gaps that allow decisions to be made associated with achieving the product costs. Analyze data from operations and prepare reports accordingly.
Accountable for his /her team being motivated, trained, and evaluated, expressing to the management of the area training needs and well-being of the personnel in charge, and making a due follow-up to their requests. In the same way, determine with the collaborators the objectives and indicators, carry out the performance evaluations and give timely and constant feedback on the strengths and those susceptible to improvement.
Responsible for Industrial Safety, environmental control, and quality management in your area.
Certified Specific Education and Knowledge.
Professional in Business, Industrial Engineering, Production engineering, and/or software data engineering, or similar professional.
Fluent in English
Advance knowledge of ERP systems and MRP.
Advance data analytic skills
Minimum 3 years of experience in operation, supply chain, and/or Industrial planning
MS Excel advanced.
Proven experience managing complex projects
Desired skills / attributes and experience
PowerBi experience
Specialization in Management of Production and / or Operations and / or Logistics / or Data Analysis
Certified Black belt
Digital transformation projects
Minimum 3 years of experience as head of Industrial
Have worked in companies with operational excellence processes implemented (Lean, TPM, SixSigma)
Work Environment
Office setting in manufacturing/distribution facility environment
Infrequent domestic and international travel
Exposure to plant and warehouse environment, including heat, humidity, dust fumes, gases, toxic/caustic chemicals, airborne particles, and significantly loud noise; Exposure to moving mechanical parts on the lines, as well as moving equipment throughout the factory or warehouse
Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which the company provides
