Zoo Miami currently has a full-time Chief of Administration position available. We are searching for a team-oriented candidate that will be creative, engaging and deliver an exceptional guest experience.Summary
: This position reports directly to the Zoo Director and is responsible for providing strategic planning, leadership, and management of Zoo Miami’s business operations including Human Resources, budget management, procurement, and finance.Responsibilities include:Responsible for the overall strategic plan, direction, leadership, and management of Zoo Miami’s Business, Human Resources, and organizational development.Oversees the Zoo's business operations including budget, procurement, finance, and Human Resources.Implements and evaluates the Zoo’s strategic plan, HR operations, budget, and finance management.Drives, coaches, mentors, and encourages a positive work culture at Zoo Miami.Develops, implements, and oversees strategic initiatives to achieve goals and objectives throughout all divisions of Zoo Miami.Prepares specialized reports and presentations pertaining to departmental performance and accreditation processes.Represents Zoo Miami at various meetings and coordinates with other agencies.Oversees the preparation of the Zoo’s annual budget submission ($45M) with the Zoo Director.Reviews work progress with other Zoo Miami division heads and supervisory personnel.Directs studies and surveys to ensure maximum utilization of AZA best practices.Plans and evaluates an inclusive strategic and business plan across all Zoo divisions.Manages all Zoo personnel processes including recruitments, payroll, evaluations, and discipline.Performs other related tasks as requested.Experience Required
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four years of administrative, supervisory or operational experience in a park or attraction.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with four to five years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources or Budget Management.This is a full-time position with excellent benefits as an employee of Miami-Dade County.NOTE:
