**Job Title:** Clinical Nurse

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours per Week

**Experience:** One year of nursing experience

**License:** Licensed Registered Nurse

**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification

**Must-Have:** ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing

**Job Description:**

- Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.- Reports and is accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director.- Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.- Participates in identifying and meeting the learning needs of self.- Attends education programs based on identified learning needs.- Uses patient education materials relevant to the patient population with assistance.- Assesses readiness to learn of patient/family/caregivers and developmental level of the patient.- Evaluates care by identifying expected patient outcomes.- Seeks guidance as needed in revising the plan of care.- Participates in discussions with interdisciplinary teams in evaluation of patient care.- Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care.- Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems.- Utilizes healthcare organization and nursing standards in delivery of care.- Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs.- Consults with appropriate resources for complex care issues and high-risk discharge planning.- Develops goals to promote professional growth or minimize limitations.- Participates in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities.- Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.- Assesses and anticipates discharge needs of patients and families.- Develops relationships with families to advocate for the patient and their needs.- Collaborates with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care.- Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks for patients with complex problems.- Engages in research by reading relevant journals.
