**License:** Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
**Certifications:**- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
**Must-Have:** Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
**Job Description:**
- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.- Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.- Participate in identifying learning needs and attending education programs.- Use patient education materials relevant to the patient population.- Assess readiness and ability of patient/family/caregivers to learn and communicate effectively.- Identify expected patient outcomes and seek guidance for revision of care plans.- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for evaluation and continuity of patient care.- Demonstrate competence in the care of patients with complex problems, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects.- Conduct bedside point-of-care testing as required.- Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs.- Consult with appropriate resources for patients with complex care issues or high discharge risk.- Develop goals for professional growth and participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities.- Effectively use communication systems and promote cost-effective care.- Recognize and prioritize care needs from complex situations.- Develop relationships with families to advocate for patient needs.- Collaborate with the patient/family for care planning and use multidisciplinary resources.- Read relevant journals for applicable practice ideas and bring them to staff discussions.
