Job Details:
The Dell Medical School is looking for a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to serve on the executive board. The CAO will be accountable for the performance of UT-Dell Med, developing and executing required strategic and operating plans to achieve financial, quality, and growth objectives.
The CAO must exemplify Dell Medical School values (excellence, innovation, impact, collaboration, compassion, humility, and stewardship) in behaviors both inside and outside the University.
Responsibilities
Provides overall strategic and operating direction for UT-Dell Medical School.
Inspires talented individuals to join the organization and serve the needs of patients.
Ensures alignment of critical resources and expands roles of education and research.
Designs and executes the organizational strategic growth plan.
Fosters relationships with external organizations and secures partnerships.
Delivers financial and quality targets and operational goals.
Manages legal and regulatory compliance.
Sets priorities and achieves deliverables outlined by the strategic plan.
Develops and implements the organizational structure and leadership model.
Other related duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsMaster's degree required. Ten or more years of leadership experience. Demonstrated strategic thinking, keen judgment, and planning skills.
Proven ability to implement multiple initiatives in a complex organization.
Broad knowledge of health care administration.
Experience in health care operations, financial management, and strategic planning.
Established track record as a pioneer and innovator.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in an academic medical environment.
