Your Role:
Our successful Wedding Sales Coordinator promotes outstanding relations with all guests and fellow Team Members by providing service in a friendly, swift, and responsible manner. They thrive in a team base environment where everyone consistently uplifts and supports each other through detail oriented work and regularly doing what it takes to ensure all necessary work completed.
Keys to Success in this Role:
College Degree in Marketing, Hospitality or related field required.
Minimum of 3 years proven experience in sales, preferably in the wedding or event industry.
Excellent communication and time management skills. High level of customer service.
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Computer literate, proficient in MS Office.
Salesforce experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail.
Open availability is a must. Required to be present at all wedding receptions/events booked.
Weekends and holidays as needed.
Sell and coordinate weddings, rehearsal dinners, post wedding breakfast, bridal showers, and anniversary celebrations and other personal banquet events. (ie: baby showers, post religious celebrations, graduation parties, etc.)
Required to be present and hands on at all weddings/events booked which will require nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsible for meeting sales goals.
Practice excellent time management, self-management, and self-motivation.
Develop professional and long term business relationships.
Proactive in getting SCH’s venue marketed for weddings. Includes site tours, trade shows/advertising/social media/etc.
Ensure all bookings are carried out successfully starting with inquires/prospect to follow up after event for last minutes fees and client feedback.
Create contracts, collection of payments according to set structure, develop timelines, schedules, and meetings with client including menu tastings and final walk thru within one week of wedding date.
Ensure timely and outstanding execution of plans for event.
Work with other departments and outside vendors to ensure all involved in an event are informed and clear on needs/expectations.
Coordination of collateral materials and sales campaigns as well as provide expense and revenue reports.
Acts with discretion and maintains confidentiality.
Attend weekly BOE meetings and additional meetings as needed.
Able to lift and carry 30 lbs occasionally.
Able to stand and walk 6-12 hours.
Must have reliable transportation
Ability to travel up to 25% of work time (overnight travel is rare but may be required).
