Materials manager

Do you have inventory experience? Bring your skillset to the materials department of a local company. We are looking for someone to provide the appropriate level of support, training, system maintenance and communication to drive the company's inventory management process and improve inventory accuracy. Must have an eye for detail. Must have good math skills. Candidate must be able to convert linear feet to square feet. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other inventory control/shipping software Good understanding of Lean Application tools (Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, Visual Manufacturing, etc) Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), a plussalary: $18 - $21.6 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilitiesProvide the appropriate level of support, training, system maintenance and communication to drive the company's inventory managmement process by coordinating with production, purchasing, warehousing, shipping/receiving, and customer service Responsible for improving inventory accuracy within the channel by investigating discrepancies and performing a root cause analysis. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs.
