Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover from injuries and illnesses. You will be responsible for assisting with exercises, massages, and other therapeutic techniques to help patients regain their strength and mobility.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapist in developing treatment plans for patients
- Help patients perform exercises and stretches as prescribed by the Physical Therapist
- Administer massages and other therapeutic techniques to help patients recover
- Monitor patients' progress and report any changes to the Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to continue recovery at home
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or related field
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with mobility and exercises
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and exercises
- Ability to maintain accurate patient records and documentation
