Job Title: Material Handler - Days

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to support the movement, storage, and packaging of inventory. This entry-level role involves pulling orders, preparing them for shipment, and using an RF scanner to pick orders. Your tasks will include packing orders into boxes, loading and unloading transport items, recording inventory statuses, and ensuring deliveries match purchase orders. You will maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages. Additionally, you will pull orders from inventory, deliver production materials and supplies where needed, and stage finished products for final distribution.

Responsibilities

Pull orders and prepare them for shipment

Use an RF scanner to pick orders

Pack orders into boxes for shipping

Load and unload different transport items

Record inventory statuses

Ensure deliveries properly match purchase orders

Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock

Record location of inventory

Report shortages

Pull orders from inventory

Deliver production materials and supplies where needed

Stage finished product for final distribution

Handle and move merchandise around the premises

Manage shipping and receiving of materials within the facility

Use hand trucks, electric fork jacks, and forklifts to move materials

Essential Skills

Previous warehouse experience preferred

Ability to lift 50lbs+ Flexibility during the company's start-up phase

Comfortable standing in one spot for entire shift

Willingness to work in various locations throughout the distribution center

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience with shipping and receiving

Experience with order pulling and packing

Accountability in warehouse inventory management

Cycle counting experience

Work Environment

You will work in a climate-controlled, brand-new distribution center. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. You will be assigned to one of three departments: Full Case Breakdown, OPEX, or Manual Active. Adherence to clocking-in standards is required (3 minutes before start time, 3 minutes after start time is considered a tardy).
