As the Vice President of Global External Communications at Genesys, you will lead the company's strategic efforts in managing all aspects of external communication, ensuring cohesive messaging across global markets. Reporting to the SVP, Head of Transformation & Office of the CEO, this role is critical to enhancing Genesys' public image, building and maintaining strong relationships with media, investors, and external stakeholders, and shaping the company's reputation as a global leader in the technology and SaaS space.The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset and deep expertise in public relations, media strategy, and external affairs, with the ability to navigate complex communication challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced industry.Key Responsibilities:
External Communications Strategy & Execution:
Develop and execute a comprehensive external communications plan that enhances Genesys' visibility, brand reputation, and positioning in the SaaS and technology space.Media & Public Relations:
Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets to secure high-impact coverage and manage public relations, including thought leadership, press releases, and executive interviews. Ensure messaging consistency across all external channels.Communication Collaboration:
As part of the Office of the CEO, partner closely with Internal Communications and Global Brand, as well as other Marketing functions to support external communication efforts related to corporate events, product launches, and M&A.Investor Relations Support:
Collaborate on investor communications, including earnings announcements and financial releases, ensuring clear and strategic messaging with the financial community.Global Communications Leadership:
Manage the global external communications team, ensuring consistency in messaging across international markets, while adapting strategies to local contexts.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Leadership Experience:
Proven ability in leading external communications, public relations, and media strategies for a high-growth tech or SaaS company.Strategic Communication:
Expertise in developing global communication strategies that align with business objectives and produce measurable results.Crisis Management Expertise:
Skilled in managing high-stakes crisis communication to protect and enhance company reputation during challenging situations.Stakeholder Engagement:
Strong experience in managing relationships with media, investors, partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure consistent messaging.Global Communications:
Experience managing global communication strategies and adapting messages for diverse markets.Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (Master's preferred) and 15+ years of experience in external communications, corporate communications, or public relations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Compensation:
Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $212,050.00 - $416,150.00. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location.Benefits:
