Job Description
Equipment Management & Support :
Oversee and maintain all maker space equipment including 3D printers, computers, CNC machines, and other fabrication tools.Provide technical assistance to students, guiding them on the safe and effective use of equipment, especially 3D printing and fabrication tools.Collaborate with the institution's IT team for software and network-related support as needed.
Inventory & Resource Management :
Manage inventory of consumables, tools, and supplies; ensure timely replenishment.Assist in creating and enforcing equipment check-out procedures.
Office Hours & Student Assistance :
Hold regular office hours to be available for student questions and guidance.Conduct small training sessions or workshops for new users on safety, equipment use, and maker space policies.Create and update simple manuals or guides to assist students with common issues
Space Organization & Cleanliness :
Ensure the maker space is always organized, clean, and safe for students to work in.Help students with workstation setup and assist in maintaining a collaborative environment.
