Residential Energy Auditor
in
Indiana
to support our Inflation Reduction Act Program field delivery across the Midwest. As an early key hire in this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality in-home energy audits and ensuring quality control for our HOMES and HEAR programs. You are a customer-focused technician proficient in BPI standards and related certifications who will be conducting comprehensive in-home energy audits with a focus on income-based program participants and collaboration with contractor networks. Your oversight will extend to residential weatherization, HVAC, and water heating installation inspections, as you review QA/QC findings to ensure program integrity. Working with partners to identify and implement effective solutions based on audit findings and client feedback will be key to your success. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Resource Innovations’ program solutions.The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in energy auditing, building science, or related fields, along with established relationships within housing, rebate/incentive programs, and community development. Strong leadership skills, a focus on team building and customer service, and knowledge of relevant standards and practices, particularly BPI certifications, are essential. As a result, our growing firm was honored as the 15th fastest-growing private company in America, based on Inc. magazine's annual Inc. 500 list.Duties and Responsibilities:Define SOP for the Field Service team from Energy Audits to QA/QC.Recruit and train a team of BPI trained Energy AuditorsManages and implements the field and internal verification process across multiple programs and clients including the selection and review of assignments, track performance against metrics, and ensures all necessary forms and materials are completedMay also conduct onsite inspections, writes inspection reports, and provides solutions to remedy failed inspections across the teamsDevelops and implements Energy audit protocols, QA/QC requirements and implementation plansProvides education, training, and coaching to trade allies to minimize failed inspections, mitigate faulty workmanship, and remedy failures when they occurConducts field inspections as well as oversees a staff conducting field inspections, and effectively manages trade alliesReviews program QC findings, reports and remedies inaccuraciesLeverages best practices and continuous improvement plans to implement long term solutions in partnership with the client and Resource Innovations’ Program ManagersIdentifies root cause analyses and makes recommendations as required for client facing reportsGenerates weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to audit, monitor and measure performance and relevant metricsManages team to ensure contract compliance in forecasting requirements and key performance indicatorsConducts internal and external trainings to include webinars, tutorials and conference calls on relevant business processes and standardsManages the process of regularly reviewing and updating critical program documentation including field verification guides and forms, processing manuals, policy and procedure manuals.Keeps up to date on industry trends and insights with regards to policy and procedure manuals to ensure program materials are most relevantWorks as part of a cross functional team that includes program operations, IT, Marketing, and Customer Service/ProcessingMeets with contractor management, customer Service and Processing lead regularly to ensure best practices and continuous improvement initiatives are aligned and implemented effectivelyConducts scheduled and unscheduled reviews of the application process to determine where improvements can be madeOther duties as assignedRequirementsMust be a US CitizenMust be located in or willing to relocate to South, Central or North Indiana within 30 days of acceptance.2+ years’ experience in a quality control and quality assurance role, or consulting, energy efficiency or utility experience highly desiredKnowledge of building science, construction and technical expertise is requiredBPI Building Analyst and Envelope certifications preferredHERS and RESNET Rater certification preferredAbility to travel up to 75% of the time (limited overnight travel)Experience with SnuggPro a plusPreferred skills, education and experienceExcellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skillsExceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilitiesTeam player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple prioritiesSound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential informationProficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM toolsCustomer service focusAbility to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for senior management teamBenefitsResource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on candidate's qualifications.
