A Day in the Life:

As a Location Manager you will oversee all day-to-day operations for your location. You will manage location facilities, equipment, and personnel, ensuring operations are done in an efficient manner while maintaining prompt and effective customer service. You will monitor operating costs and inventory and will establish and implement goals for your location that align with company objectives including housekeeping, safety, sales, and equipment. You will understand company products, services, programs, and policies across multiple departments and communicate this information to customers. You will collaborate with other locations and regional managers to coordinate logistics and provide necessary services and equipment. You will ensure standards of health, safety, and security are met for customers, vendors, and employees by knowing and enforcing all company, local, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations. You will work in a team-based environment and will delegate relevant tasks to your location team. You will develop recommendations for equipment and facility improvements and will recruit, develop, and retain your personnel in a professional manner.

Whats Expected:

You will be expected to be familiar with cooperative operations including products, services, and equipment. You will be expected to attend safety and leadership-related training and continually improve your knowledge and skills. You will be expected to maintain high ethical standards as you will work with confidential company information. You will be expected to assist with all aspects of location operations and administration as necessary. You will be exposed to outdoor environments, grain dust, lubricants, chemicals, and fertilizers. Physically, you will stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and crawl on a regular basis. You will be asked to climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and work at heights up to 200ft. Regularly lifting 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds will be expected. You will be expected to think clearly, problem solve, work hard, and work more hours during busy seasons. Farmers Cooperative operates under the all hands-on deck philosophy when it comes to getting things done. Therefore, employees are required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Whats Required:

Minimum of an Associate Degree in agribusiness, agronomy, or another related field or equivalent work experience3+ years of experience working in the cooperative industry or equivalent work experienceValid Drivers License (may be asked to obtain Class A or B CDL depending on the truck)Busy season will require more hours to service our customers and to unload/load product Preferred Qualifications:Excellent written and oral communicationQuality customer service skillsQuality time management and workflow efficiency skillsQuality interpersonal relationship building, sales, and employee coaching and development skillsBasic technology skillsThe desire to work for an agricultural cooperative
