Sr. Engineer
that seeks to join a talented group of professionals to promote thriving communities by applying technology to solve complex issues in transportation. You will work, in partnership with Iteris Senior Management and Engineering staff, state, regional, and local agencies to deliver various transportation engineering and operations projects to improve our communities. This opportunity is available as a remote position in
Pennsylvania and you must reside in the state.What you will be doing:Lead or support traffic engineering, signal operations/signal timing, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) design, implementation, and integration projects in Pennsylvania and surrounding regionLead development and implementation strategies for improving arterial traffic flow and safety, prepare the development of system performance measurement tools, standard operating policies/procedures, deficiency reports and mitigation plans, coordinate with local agencies related to the operation and maintenance of traffic signals and arterial systemsOversee and conduct highly visible customer traffic operations support through the performance of on-site signal timing implementation and fine-tuning, and review of existing traffic operations issuesCollaborate with client management delivering projects to the clients' satisfaction within business objectivesLiaise with local and regional business development effortsCultivate strategic thinking to grow business and increase return client ratesPeriodically participate in coordination meetings and consult with other staffSupport staff management and provide mentorship and training for engineering and planning staffDefine client needs and develop a plan and proposal for delivery of the projectWhat you need to be successful in this role:Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) required, field of study: Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Electrical Engineering, or related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE), Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification or International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) certification desiredMinimum five (5) years of experience in transportation engineering or related fieldMinimum three (3) years of experience managing project and/or program for public agencies, staff management, and mentoringIs based in Pennsylvania and has experience working with Pennsylvania DOT or Major public sector clients (as a consultant or public sector employee)Familiar with tools such as Synchro, Sim Traffic, VISSIM (multi-model traffic flow simulation software package), AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.Proficient in MS OfficeIteris anticipates paying between $118,000 and $135,000 for this role.
