Wastewater Treatment Manager
to work out of the U.S. Coast Guard Remote Communication Facility in New Orleans, LA

Build your future with Project Solutions, Inc.Position overview :The Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager would be responsible for managing the daily operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and compliance with all regulatory standards.*This position is contingent upon awardResponsibilities and Duties:Directs and coordinates daily plant operations, including rounds, inspections, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance testing, and documentation of plant processes.Manages the collection and analysis of wastewater samples, ensuring adherence to quality control standards and timely reporting of results.Oversees the mixing and application of chemicals to treat wastewater, optimizing dosing rates and monitoring treatment effectiveness.Maintains accurate and up-to-date plant operation logs and reports, including performance data, maintenance records, and regulatory compliance documentation.Supervises the maintenance, repair, and modification of plant machinery and equipment.Ensures the cleanliness and upkeep of plant facilities, including general maintenance tasks like cleaning, painting, and repairs.Ensures compliance with all applicable Louisiana Wastewater Treatment Facility Operations laws and regulations.Develops and implements emergency response plans, coordinate response efforts during incidents, and ensure the safety of personnel and the environment.Enforces safety protocols and environmental regulations.Performs related duties.Required Education, Knowledge and Skills :Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field preferred.Louisiana Class A Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's Certification required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, equipment operation, and laboratory analysis techniques.Must be able to climb ladders, regularly lift weights up to 50 pounds, and work in a physically demanding environment.Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address operational issues.The information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job, nor are they intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
