Role : Desktop EngineerJob type : FulltimeLocation : Chicago, ILSalary -65-70kRoles and responsibilities:IT End User Support TechnicianRequirements and Qualifications:Must work well, independently, without supervision, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and be able to organize and prioritize tasks.Excellent troubleshooting and technical support skills; working directly with end users.Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows workstations, desktop and laptop hardware, and user access, including account creation, network connectivity, maintenance, and support. (Windows 10, Office 365, Active Directory, Okta, Etc.)Required to be punctual, keep all appointments, and available to provide end user support throughout the day.Friendly, courteous, customer advocate, dedicated to the success of the business.Comfortable working directly with local and remote management, reporting and providing solutions for IT issues.Ability to think outside-the-box, deal with ambiguity, and provide creative solutions as required.Hands-on professional experience working with Windows 10, Office 365 (Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, etc.), Adobe Acrobat, ServiceNow, Global Protect VPN, PrinterLogic, Okta, SoftPhone, etc.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Required to be on-site, at the local office Monday through Friday, excluding company holidays or other office closures.Day-to-Day Job Duties:Customer Support:Be a great customer advocate and positively represent IT.Provide on-site and remote support for end users.Work directly with end users and management to identify and resolve issues, install and update software, install and configure peripheral hardware, and answer technical questions.End User Access and Connectivity:Work with local HR team and management to create and manage user accounts in Active Directory and Office 365.Troubleshoot and resolve user access and connectivity issues as required.Computer Hardware and Software:Setup and maintain all computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, docking stations, monitors, mice, keyboards, and desk phones. (Including new desk/office setups and refreshing obsolete equipment)Coordinate computer hardware and software orders with procurement team and help manage local inventory.Hardware includes laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, and other peripherals.Software includes Windows 10, Office 365 (Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, etc.), Adobe Acrobat, ServiceNow, Global Protect VPN, PrinterLogic, Okta, SoftPhone, etc.
