Cedar Rapids !Pay : $60k-$90kSchedule : 7am-4pm Mon-FriLocation : Cedar Rapids, IowaPosition : DIRECT HIREBenefits : Dental, Medical, Vision, 401(k), PTO and more!Duties of Safety Director:Manage the safety aspects of all projectsPre-construction planning as it pertains to SafetyManage the safety program in its entiretyConduct new hire orientation and distribute PPEManage work comp cases including claims and light dutyInvestigate all incidentsManage OSHA 300sAssist in site specific safety plans including JHAsAssist in managing the captive insurance plans and requirements-including attending meetings asneeded (2 per year)Assemble PowerPoints and manage monthly foremen meetingsReview and manage OSHA required trainingParticipate in all internal Company meetingsSite Specific Safety Plan & Site Specific Erection PlanProject hand-off/kick-off with estimator, foremen, general superintendent & safetyWeekly resource coordination meetingsPost Project review meetingsCommunicate Project Safety needs between General Contractor & NSE OfficeCommunicate changing project safety requirements with superintendent and foremanPromote Northwest Companies Core Vision & Values within and outside the companyOther duties as requiredRequired Skills:High school diploma or equivalentCHST or equivalent preferredValid driver's licenseCommitment to safety and an injury free workplaceStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentCustomer oriented and focused on team successComputer skills - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), BluebeamAbility to lift and carry up to 50lbs
