How You'll Contribute: Coordinate off-site transportation including advance calls to families, communication with partner groups, coordination with bus drivers, assigning staff to roles and providing oversight Manage luggage labeling, loading, and unloading Assist in providing transportation for various day trips Develop and maintain good relations with staff members and volunteers Assist to provide weekend and free time activity options for staff providing off-site transportation Maintain and develop good relationships with customers utilizing True Friends services Document notes in camper files for future summers Collect and manage payments from campers Make fiscally responsible decisions regarding transportation costs Maintain vehicle cleanliness and communicate vehicle maintenance needs to appropriate personnel Assist in managing and organizing the summer staff transportation to and from the airport, bus, and train stations Coordinate vehicles throughout the week and weekend for activities, clinic runs, and staff trips Communicate transportation plans Perform other duties as assigned What You'll Bring to the Table: Must be 21+ years of age Must have an acceptable driving record and pass a motor vehicle record check Must demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, parents, care providers and general community Willingness to be a positive team member, good organizational skills, possess valid driver s license, ability to use or learn computer word processing and database systems Able to hear, read, and write in English About Us: True Friends is a nonprofit organization providing life-changing experiences that enhance independence and self-esteem for children and adults with disabilities.
