Position Summary:

As a Junior Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's digital assets. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and security analysts to implement, monitor, and maintain security measures across various systems and networks. This role involves learning and applying security protocols, conducting risk assessments, analyzing security incidents, and actively contributing to the enhancement of our cybersecurity infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

:

Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data.Support the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities through assessments and audits.Monitor security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection tools.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to respond to security incidents and implement necessary incident response procedures.Participate in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and best practices.Perform regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses.Document security processes, procedures, and findings accurately and comprehensively.Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to contribute valuable insights to the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Knowledge of basic networking concepts, operating systems, and security fundamentals.

Familiarity with security tools such as antivirus software, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc.

Understanding of common cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, etc.).

Knowledge of cloud security principles and practices.

Understanding of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
