Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Job Specialty: Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (14:00 - 22:30) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years required in sterile processing License: Valid state license required at the time of submission Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM Must-Have: - Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and trauma settings - Sterilization, decontamination, assembly/wrap, case cart, HLD, and scrub experience - Experience in surgery cases such as Ortho, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, Transplant, Robotics, and Implants; Ophthalmology preferred - EPIC charting experience required Job Description: - Evening shift from Monday to Friday with 1 rotating weekend (Saturday & Sunday) per month, possibly twice depending on staffing needs - Daily caseload per tech includes 65 surgical cases; 1200 tray volume - On-call required twice per month; rotating weekends - Might be required to float within the hospital or to a nearby facility - Participation expected in working 3 out of 5 major holidays - All travelers are expected to float between various units within their skill set. - Must provide a detailed response to the following questions upon submission: - How many years of experience do you have in the SPD field? - Do you have experience utilizing SPM and EPIC? - What service line do you consider your strength and weakness? - Why should we consider you for this assignment? - What is your preferred shift? Additional Information: - Orientation includes 40 non-billable hours - Modules pre-start and annually, with average completion time approximating 16 hours - Candidates expected to submit monthly cell phone bills directly if not provided with a communication device required for the assignment
