Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is looking for a System Administrator to join the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) team. The System Administrator would work with the 700th Air Support Squadron (ASUS) at Langley AFB in the in Command-and-Control Network & Security Operation Center (C2NSOC).

Administer server environment for NOC/SOC suite of tools

Ensure network access, servers, apps, and data are available to customers/mission owners

Has specific knowledge of NOC/SOC architecture and experience operating with such environments

Configure, optimize, and ensure service/application delivery for operations

Enable and execute systems/data backup & recovery

Essential Job Responsibilities

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

Minimum Qualifications

6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.

Experience configuring and managing Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems

Experience with installing, loading operating systems, software, and troubleshooting

Manage and support a broad spectrum of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, 365, and Exchange

Active DOD TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Requirements

Experience with administration, maintenance, and optimization of virtual server environments is a plus

Prior NOC/SOC experience

Physical Requirements

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the Systems Analyst discipline.
