Role Purpose:
The Sr. Automation and Controls Engineering Manager is a strategic leader within Mark Anthony Brewing collaborating with corporate and plant business units, IT, and co-packer. The Sr. manager will be responsible for the support, maintenance, code management, and continuous improvement of site operational technology systems and applications.
Accountabilities & Impact:
Work with business process experts to understand the functional requirements of continuous improvement project and deliver automated solutions.Lead OT continuous improvement projects from conception to completion to help Mark Anthony Brewing achieve manufacturing excellence at the Hillside site.Work with Corporate Offsite team for new development and support of all site OT applications.Provide level 2 support & maintain all OT applications.Support the Corporate Offsite team when performing upgrades, patches, or code management of all OT applications. Aligning the plant management for shutdown windows preventing extended loss in production and providing maximum uptime of systems.Develop SME level capability for all OT applications and equipment controls.Troubleshoot and develop OT application integrations following MAB standards and functional requirements.Ensure integrations development follow MAB standards.With the role out or upgrade of OT application, provide documentation of technical design, SOPs and provide training and any new features and new solutions.Lead the creation of documentation for on the job, classroom, and virtual training and SOPs for ease of use of new OT solutions and to ensure the rollout and upgrades of OT solutions provide the end user confidence in the applicationBuild strong relationships with site leadership & broader Controls team.Exhibit strong business partnering capabilities.Actively leads the evolution of a robust MAB Quality and Food Safety Culture by reinforcing the importance of Good Manufacturing Practices and protecting the quality, food safety, integrity and legality of MAB products and processes.Skills & Experiences Needed:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or minimum ten years of relevant work experience10 years’ experience SCADA design, development using Factory Talk SE, Inductive Automation10 years’ experience in PLC programming, Allen Bradley RS Logix, Studio 500010 years practical hands-on expertise with Food & Beverage processing equipmentMinimum 3 years of leadership and management experienceExperience with IT OT convergenceFull lifecycle project management experience (i.e., process development, process scale-up, punch lists, commissioning, start-up, operations training, etc.)Proficient in multiple programming languages, such as Python, XML, HTTP, SQL, Web Service Business Connector, Ladder Logic, Function Block, STL, VBA, etc.At Mark Anthony, we live by our 5 Core Values every day:
