The Manager, Procurement develops and implements sourcing strategies and productivity programs which optimize category spends while ensuring purchase strategies integrate into the overall strategies of Procurement. The efforts of the role include contributing to the company's indirect cost reduction targets through development of a procurement strategy, implementation of standardized processes, tools, methodologies, and sourcing activities.
•Assists with the development and implementation of a global procurement strategy for all assigned spend areas, with clear vision and clear objectives to allow Claire's to achieve its financial objectives•Creates and execute initiative plans to achieve category objectives which includes strategies, tactics, and risk mitigation•Supports development of an initiative pipeline and cash flow improvement plan•Manages all procurement-related activities to source assigned areas of spend, which may include Marketing, IT, or supplies•Utilizes a strategic sourcing methodology to lead sourcing events including management of communications, executing RFx, and negotiations. Also, prepares recommendations for vendor selection.•In collaboration with business partners, leads, manages, and executes negotiation preparation and planning for responsible categories.•Negotiates contracts to ensure receipt of the best possible prices, terms, and conditions to gain a competitive advantage.•Establishes and maintains alliances with key internal and external stakeholders focused on total cost of ownership solutions.•Conducts spend analysis, analyze supply markets, identify sourcing value levers•Actively manages supplier performance.•Promotes and ensures adherence to Procurement Policies and Procedures.•Adheres to internal controls, uses eProcurement tools, and the practice of ethical behavior•Demonstrates a service-oriented mentality and a high sense of ownership of the assigned problems and requests.•Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, or a Business-related discipline•MBA or master's degree, a plus•CPSM certification, a plus•Minimum 2-5 years Procurement experience•Retail experience preferred•Knowledge of a strategic sourcing process and procurement best practices and methods•Analytical•Strong negotiation, collaboration, and communication skills•Experience with Indirect categories, including Marketing, IT, Logistics and Supplies•Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams•Demonstrated ability to influence without authority•Results-driven•Proactive and planful•Experience interacting with senior level executives•Experience with Procure-to-Pay solutions, and Procurement best practices•Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Compensation Range: $82,446.00 - $109,928.00
Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
